Authored through funding by a grant from Healthcare Georgia Foundation, the publication was created to educate grantees about the importance of earned income strategies in order to build organizational sustainability.
The need for education about earned income in the social sector has never been greater, particularly given the economic challenges faced by nonprofits of all types in recent years. With reductions in funding from government agencies, philanthropies, corporations, and individual donors, nonprofit leaders have been challenged to identify new sources of income that can provide their organizations with greater financial sustainability, diversification, and flexibility.
